    Really good. Perfect plane movie because it’s long and mostly subtitled. French criminal court seems like a total free for all. Really bizarre. ANALYSIS WITH SPOILERS: I think the best interpretation is through Daniel. His blindness represents ambiguity and imperfect information. Adults have to make decisions on limited information. Daniel’s father struggled with fear of failure and an inability to act. Daniel, on the other hand, must decide for himself what happened to his father. One interpretation, that he committed suicide, seems reasonable and offers Daniel closure and a future with his mother. He decides on this interpretation and acts on it by supplementing his testimony. Earlier in the movie, Daniel mentions how he feels his way around by touching different tape textures, but then mentions he doesn’t need to do that anymore. He’s gotten better at it. As you grow up, you get better at navigating without a clear picture. Life is morally ambiguous, and your task is to confront that and keep moving forward.
